Veterinary Assistant

Makena started in veterinary medicine in the middle of a pandemic! She has been with Pyramid Veterinary Hospital since August of 2020 and is one of the few employee’s we have that go back and forth between being an assistant and a receptionist. She loves to do both and is great at them as well. She has a passion for helping the pets and their owners, as well as creating a happy and healthy pet community. However, her favorite things might just be snuggling all the adorable pets that come into the hospital.

As much as she loves getting to see all the dogs and cats that come in, she has enjoyed seeing all the exotic animals as well, like pocket pets and reptiles. When she isn’t at work, she is kept busy with her school work but does try to get out to explore the Reno/Tahoe area and hangout with her friends and family.
